My New Dr. Dog Colleague

I am still going for my alternate Saturday service at the hospital and if you have been wondering why I have not been posting photos from my visit, that is because there is a new strict regulation now and we are not allowed to take photos at work in order to protect the privacy of the patients and their families. So I guess I will no longer be able to share photos of Dr. Dogs in action with you all.

Anyhow, I just want to introduce my new colleague to you, she is Dr. Claire.

She is a small built pretty golden girl and is very popular with our patients.

Here's a group photo of the three of us last Saturday.

A Pleasant Surprise from Brazil!

Oh my goodness! Look at that! A drawing of me! What a lovely surprise!

It is a gift from Mr Sinzi and it was based on one of my favorite photos. I am totally in awe of how he did it! I love how he captured my birthmark too! Isn't it amazing?

This is Mr Sinzi in Brazil!

Mr Sinzi is Kimba's Grandpa! And Kimba is my dear friend from The Gold Post. Little Kimba is a Therapy Dog in training and has a very awesome blog, do drop by and say hello to him at http://littlekimba.blogspot.com

Thank you so much, Grandpa Sinzi! You are very talented and I am very thankful for your beautiful gift! We are definitely going to frame it and show it off to everyone!

Miaoli with Howler

During the New Year Holidays in January (please excuse the very late report, hee hee), we made a road trip to Miaoli with Howler and his family. I have been there before and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to show Howler around this fabulous place.

It was about one and a half hour's drive from Taipei city and we stopped halfway at a service center to grab a quick lunch.

The sun was almost setting when we reached Miaoli and we made a quick visit to The Flying Cow Ranch.

We stayed at the Jian Min Farm again and the humans enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the restaurant.

It was the start of the strawberry season and we woke up early the next day to visit Da Hu, a place where the climate is perfect for growing strawberries.

Whoa! Tons of sweet strawberries!

Picking strawberries was really fun and we went home with a box of freshly picked strawberries each.

This place is great for strawberry lovers, you get to eat strawberry meatballs, sausages, cakes, ice-cream and everything strawberry!

The strawberry meat ball was a little strange, so we settled for some waffles and cakes for tea.

Howler was a great buddy on this trip and we had so much fun together. We wanted to go swimming in the afternoon, but it started to rain, so we decided to head home after lunch.

Below is a video from our holiday, I hope you like it! I can't wait to go on a holiday again!

Nine month old Zoe!!! Isn't she a doll?

She was just a little baby not too long ago!

She finally got to ride on my back!

She is such a cutie, I hope I get to see more of her!

They went to The Zoo without me again!

On a fine day in early March, Dad and Mom decided to check out the new arrivals at the Taipei Zoo, the famous Panda Duo from Sichuan Province, China, Tuan Tuan (團團) and Yuan Yuan (圓圓)! Needless to say, I was not allowed to go again.

Here they are! Strike a pose!

Can't hug the real panda, but Mom didn't mind.

Of course, Dad had to pose with one to please Mom.

He was also forced to stand with Big Black Bear!

Here are some other animals that they spotted other than those we saw on the last zoo trip with Grandma:

Gorilla in the mist!

A sleepy female lion. Zzzzzzz....

Rhinoceros!

Someone is yawning...

Elephants on land!

Feeding time for the Hippopotamus!

And a lonely camel. Where are his friends?

That's all for now, look out for my next post on a trip to Miaoli with Howler! Happy weekend, everyone!
